So I guess there was a welcoming ceremony. I don’t really remember much of the details — except the humiliating moment when they put my application photo up on the big blank screen for everyone to see. I was in a rush that day. Woke up with one of those bad hair days that didn’t look so bad in real life but didn’t translate so well on camera.

Tv : Highlander: The Raven

So I arrive in Seattle around 11:00 a.m. My flight’s not for another 3 hours or so but I want to find the gate where the Asiana flight to Seoul is departing. First place I check in the Seattle airport is TV screens which tell you which flights are leaving and departing. Incheon is not listed. Seoul is not listed. It seems that I only see 4 major carriers and a handful of small ones. I know nothing about this airport and worry that I have to get to another terminal like in Phoenix which could be an ordeal.

Mood : exhausted

So I have survived a very arduous trip coming to Korea. We hung out with my mom the night before leaving. I popped awake at 1 a.m. and couldn’t go back to sleep on the day that I was supposed to leave. So at 3 a.m., Ian wakes up and starts making snacks for me. My mom worriedly hugs me good-bye as I head for Sky Harbor airport.
